His tender mercies are over all his works
It is amazing how God created the world. Even in its cursed state, I can still see the beauty of His handiwork. How much more glorious will the redeemed world be! From the vast skies above to the depths of the seas, from the tallest trees to the smallest creatures in the animal kingdom—God is revealed.
This has been my realization this week as I taught my homeschooler about one of God's most fascinating creations: insects! They are so small and unique, yet they serve a very important purpose in God’s plan. God even used them as instruments of judgment against Egypt before the Passover—gnats, flies, and locusts. The Bible also mentions bees, caterpillars, fleas, beetles, grasshoppers, hornets, lice, spiders, and ants!
My girls are so fascinated by these little creatures. They especially love reading the Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friendsbook series, which highlights values about family. I thank the Lord that they love to read and explore through books. We even made a craft using leaves and turned them into bugs.
What a lovely week of learning! Praise the Lord for His creation and faithfulness!
This is Jochebed’s craft. She carefully selected those leaves outside. Tabitha’s craft is made up of Moringa leaves. She removed the leaves from the stem herself and attached them onto the paper. And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark:… Genesis 8:1
